I love the moon very much, don't get me wrong. However when it somes to eclipses especially the full moon kind, I reserve and maintain a certain mixture of being awestruck and jitteriness and this one has been no exception. Existential angst, daily life stress and the inevitability of all that life has to offer is not asuaged by the solar and lunar eclipses. It just is not. Having that mentioned, I will also add that I'm glad this last of the full moon total eclipses for some time, has come and gone. Taking place as it did in the sign of Gemini, I am certain beyond the shadow of a doubt (a pun there?) that most, perhaps all Geminis have felt this one like a son of a gun. I knew this month would be difficult for so many of us, particularly Geminians so I'm glad we are past the eclipse but there's more of the year left to go and the effects of the big eclipses, perhaps all eclipses partial or full, have often far reaching effects. A general note to readers is to try your best to take it easy, which may or may not be possible but it's always good advice that no matter what the stars (and stars and stripes for that matter) bring, if a cool head prevails; we (at the individual level as well as the collective as in the "Occupy" level) will be better off when the planets realign in their usual positions and the dust settles down. Yes, the year is almost out but it holds more surprises. Christmas surprises as well as all the rest, the ones that are of a serious note. Good will, our prayers and love will always help us through, the holidays and all the days we have in this glorious but imperfect world. Happy holidays, dear visitors!

Earth Element Grand Trine Weekend
This past weekend, we have been blessed with a grand trine aspect involving the sun, moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Capricorn.
Our luminaries, the sun and moon and the above planets in the three earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn made for one great planetary configuration and alignment. The grand trine is in a way like the grand pyramids in Egypt, a harmonious relationship is aligned in the material world and we here on earth get the benefits. We certainly need them.
The pyramids are not in a triangular shape for nothing. They shape itself as many believe was specifically used to concentrate power for the afterlife in these magnificent resting places to the Egyptian royalty and their families. There is something about the pyramid and the triangle that it is shaped in that allows for harmony but more on that later. I would like to find time to do more research on both grand trine aspects and pyramids but I will leave you with this.
Harmony is a beauty thing and also as we approach the season of harvest, the autumn; we will see more blessings and a more fruitful, harmonious and fruitful time ahead.

Comparative Essay on Religion & Astrology
I am writing what may be an article of interest to visitors regarding astrology and religion in comparative analysis. My background as a humanist with studies in Oriental and Western philosophy contrast the traditional religions. Tolerance from religious types on the pedestrian level is often difficult to come by and, I feel as though it is time for me to make some commentary on the subject.

December Total Lunar Eclipse in Gemini
Another total eclipse of the moon in Gemini will take place on December 10th of this year as if the one we had earlier in the year wasn't enough.
I have a number of Gemini friends who have already suffered rather heavy losses with the earlier eclipses in Gemini so I was saddened to see that there will be another one toward the end of the year.
I am reminded and remind readers who may be Gemini to keep a low profile and put off any major plans of action until this eclipse which unfortunately has the potential to be very disturbing to pass.
I don't think this would be a very good time to travel for example or make major changes. Try to keep yourself balanced in terms of your emotions although that may be difficult to do depending on the nature of the losses which may be inevitable.
God bless us all, we are ever approaching 2012 and many readers may have knowledge of what we may be in for at that time. However, it is our destiny to be born during this exciting time of rare celestial events and exciting world changes and, it is our privilege as well.

Moon in Taurus or Moon in Gemini?
Post script to my last entry regarding President Obama's moon sign being in Taurus. I have just come across other indicators that the moon at his place of birth in Hawaii was not in Taurus but in Gemini. Looks as though the moon was either late degree of Taurus or early degree of Gemini and I am not sure how I can get a definitive on this but will try to find out and get back to readers because different references have given me different information.
If the moon was Void of Course or neither in one sign or the other, it may be the President Obama's moon can be seen to be "on the cusp," or between both the sign of Taurus and Gemini subsequently, heaven and earth and with a luminosity that encompasses both signs. I personally find this idea a very intriguing one and as an artist it configures in my mind a flock of beautiful birds flying over the earth when the earth is most beautiful (in springtime or the time of Taurus, the month of May). The arts play big in the life or character of someone with this aspect and the Commander in Chief is probably a great lover of the arts in all forms from theatre to music to painting and so forth.

Summer Trends 2011
I find it interesting that Weekly Astrology is the most popular of my websites. Somehow, I thought art would be of more interest but there it is, the stars win out. I feel a bit guilty for not really posting anything in recent days so, I hope this note can double as an apology. The individuals hectic life and or anything else associated with humans doesn't stop the movement of the planets and there's always interesting trends to observe and discuss, daily, weekly, monthly and yes, at the beginning and ending of centuries or thousand year cycles!
Good or other than good stuff happens. The planets reconfigure, rearrange and then or course, there is the good, the bad and the ugliness of the players, depending on which ones they are (male players, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn and Pluto sometimes cause major problems, sometimes not depending on the relationship they strike with each other and the other planets).
With the sun now in the earliest degree of Leo and Uranus in Aries, Sagittarians and other who have planets or sun sign in either of these signs will be getting the fiery boost of trine aspect or in the case of those with planets or luminaries (sun and or moon) in all three sign, the Grand Trine or triple harmony in the fire element. The strength of the trine(s) and Grand Trine harmonies in the fire element are associated with inspiration, courage, strength and activities related to performing arts (Leo), literary arts (Leo), appearances (Aries), prosperity philosophies (Sagittarius) and other positive trends that can really carry those who benefit by aspect quite a ways forward and with the auspices of good fortune riding these summer trends going forward.
At this time there are also planetary alignments that involve the earth planets and signs. We have underway, planet Jupiter in the constellation of Taurus for several months. It's a wonderful placement for Jupiter and the earth signs get the real boost and those who had planets in earth signs when they were born. It's a lush life aspect in a way what with the big focus on Leo now and August being perhaps the culmination of the solar focus on Leo and the summer on the one hand and the square or conflict aspect of Taurus to Leo.
Our President Obama is a Leo sun and Taurus moon person. Interesting to note that in the Tarot deck that I know very little about but do remember reading somewhere that the card for the World has a lion's head and a bull's head. I am not sure of the symbolism but we do have a rather high level person with that worldly configuration of Taurus/Leo and that would be our current Commander in Chief! Perhaps any real mastery of the world necessitates the hardheadedness of a bull with the courage and strength of a lion. Who knows, however that does come to mind when I consider that particular configuration and it's not without issues because of the differences in the two types, Taurus and Leo. Be that as it may, it's on now for us all with the focus on Leo planets and that beautiful placement of Jupiter in Taurus for several months to come.
Jupiter is in Taurus and this is potentially a HUGE wealth indicator. Those blessed with this birth configuration should crank up the muscle and make their dreams of wealth come true by taking advantage of this fine opportunity now and until June 11, 2012! Act now and count your gold at the bank later because it will be approximately another 12 as in dozen years before Jupiter returns to this astrological sign associated with wealth, abundance and all the finer things in life. Ramp it up. Crank it out. Do it up. Rise and shine but my humble advice is to just get it done whatever it takes.
With that said, I will raise the stakes for those with earth planets or interested parties otherwise and say that the Jupiter in Taurus position compliments and enhances the Pluto in Capricorn.
Pluto in Capricorn packs a heck of a wallop and can add to the prosperity potential for those who are in the industries associated with Capricorn specifically construction. With infrastructure trends about to loom very large, those in construction will be getting a tremendous boost and the boost is largely Plutonian in nature. Our aged and collapsing structures (bridges, highways, roads etc.) will have the necessary capital from the government to rebuild and in so doing to provide any number of jobs in construction for example.
Luxury employment sectors (Taurus) are in for good times also and we see this with the continued and seeming to be unending rise of gold prices globally. Gold is the way to go folks and will continue to rise as demand increases from new wealth nations (China, India etc.). It's no scam that companies are buying up gold fast as they can crank out the commercials to reach the public and, anyone interested in a rock solid investment (the pun is intended) should make their decisions accordingly, that's my hot tip for the foreseeable future.
Construction and gold, the building up and the mining and recall of metals (including silver from what I have heard as well).
I'm turning this into a saga so, I will for the moment end here and do a quick spell check and re-read but, the sense of guilt I have experienced especially upon discovering that Weekly Astrology has more visitors than my other, art photography related blogs ... well, I had to submit something and submit it quickly. Fire Sign and Earth Sign Trines Underway
A lot has been happening and the planets are in very interesting alignment these days with trines galore in the fire and earth elements. I've been away from some of my blogs and ask visitors to accept my apology, those who visited and saw nothing new recently, I am sorry to disappoint.

Yet Another Partial Solar Eclipse on June 1st on the Day of the New or Black (Invisible) Moon
And just how many eclipses are we in store for and in so close a period of time? Yet another partial eclipse on Friday, July 1st of the sun in Cancer, which takes place on the day of the new or black moon. Who knows what it will all mean or how things will play out?
There are some difficult or what astrologers call, "hard aspects," between a number of malefic or what I'll call difficulty potential planets (Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Libra are in opposition by sign to each other and both Uranus and Saturn are also in square/conflict relationship to both the sun and moon on June 1st). At that time our luminaries, the sun and moon will both be in the sign and constellation of Cancer.
Sensitive Cancerians or those born on or between June 22nd and July 22nd should try to keep a low profile but that may or may not be possible. Whatever happens, confidence or security may be an issue and there may be some unpleasant moments to have to live through. I do not like being so negative in analyzing trends but the eclipse is one event and the Uranus/Saturn square to the luminaries is something else and can provide an unpleasant time of it for Cancerians and others as well. Be strong and persevere if the going gets tough, this is not the time to put yourself on the line in any way.
While double checking my information for this blog post, I found an fascinating article written by a woman who is an astrologer as well as a psychotherapist, Cathy Lynn Pagano.
You may find it interesting reading. I haven't had time yet to read it fully but it points to some interesting ideas.
I try to keep a low profile during the eclipses as much as possible and suggest the same for others although, that may or may not be possible for any one of us. Apparently there will be conflict (or square) aspects at the same time involving Uranus in Aries (sudden events often negative or accident potentials) and Saturn in Libra and yes, the eclipse takes place at the very start of the holiday weekend on Friday.
No doubt this kind of configuration has happened before but we've had some humdinger eclipses and astrological events in the past year that are somewhat monumental. I guess we can just add this latest one to the mix and hope and pray we aren't swept away in to the void.
Remember too that we are now living in a world where we have a big, what they call "super particle collider" cranked up in Europe. I read somewhere (and I think it was the New York Times) that a lawsuit was taken out to prevent the creation of the speed of light particle accelerator for fear that it might cause the formation of black holes or a black hole large enough to swallow up our world and God only knows, other worlds as well. However, the multinational group who created the supercollider were allowed to build it and crank it up only just recently for their experiments.
There's probably no relationship between all the recent eclipses and the supercollider but, I'm just saying. We are living in interesting times are we not?

Update on the Oceans of the World and Neptune in Pisces Transit are Related
With the world and the world's oceans trending the way they have been for a long time and for other reasons that involve movements and trends outside of human control, we are in for some very problematic times and this according to a recent, Huffington Post article. The world's oceans have been distressed and changes will affect us all in the times to come and probably in the very near future.
With planet Neptune in the constellation of Pisces now and for many years to come, we are living in highly predictable times when it comes to the element of water and the fact that we live on a planet overwhelming covered in water.
I recently heard (radio) commentary that in the New York City area, plans are being put together to secure the sea level of the city with a dam like structure to offset tsunami flooding that appears inevitable in the next forty years. Little of this is in the press and or media but, the cognoscenti are aware that we too (and not just Japan and India for example who have suffered extreme tidal activity), we who live in the New York City area re vulnerable too.
The question that comes to mind is whether or not we, the individual or collective "we," will we be here at sea level when the tide gets rough?
A literary idea comes to mind that the entirety of Japan come to overwhelmingly sad conclusion that the entire island will be consumed by an overriding tide of water and so they decide to leave the island and scatter throughout the world as a wandering tribe who must find a place in the world outside of their original and largely insular home.
What would that be like? Japan has suffered extreme tidal activities for a very long time but, will it ever get that extreme that the entire island could be lost? Planetary trends are strong that island nations around the globe, Japan included could be lost to rising tides.
Would you leave your home if you realized the worst in relation to such a situation?

Total Solar Eclipse of the Moon in Sagittarius Tomorrow
Well stargazers, we'll be on with the full moon in the constellation and sign of Sagittarius tomorrow that will include a total lunar eclipse. God and the higher powers only know how it will translate itself in our human affairs and at the personal level but undergo it we earthlings will.
I hope it doesn't involve any undue losses, haven't we suffered enough of that? Sagittarius is notably a (long distance) travel sign and with the Sagittarian type there is always the philosophical bent and direction of the arrow, we may find something eventful taking place in these arenas.
Gemini people should directly experience the full moon eclipse in their "collective" seventh house of partnerships, specifically marriage partnership or other similarly intimate relationship and so the next few days may hold a few difficulties, be forewarned and play it cool if necessary. No need to go spoiling a good thing.

Earth Signs & Theoretical Physics a Personal Connection
There is a certain amount of amazement that I am experiencing, with a personal connection underway between the passage (transit) of planets through the earth sign of Taurus underway now and my introduction to a wonderful book written by the prominent, American theoretical physicist, Dr. Michio Kaku.
Dr Kaku's radio broadcasts are extremely cool and I have enjoyed the fascinating topics he covers but nothing was going to prepare me for reading one of his books! It's astonishing that he has packed so many concepts into this book and in such a way that the conepts can be grasped. It's even filled with a certain amount of insider historical gossip that was really surprising and unexpected to learn of in the middle of the night!
If the truth be know, we spent several nights together recently and it may be a late night again too with a midway reading of his, "Physics of the Impossible," an astonishing book, extremely rich with details of the concepts that are driving the science of theoretical physics for the past hundred years and further back in time to the distant future of the next hundred, thousand and millenial time periods.
His books are New York Times bestsellers and I can certainly see why. He discusses in layman's terms trends, concepts and underpinnings of our universe, its origins and what awaits us as a race going forward in a world where theories are upturned when one thinker with renewed insights into the findings of prior thinkers including Albert Einstein's theories are modified and qualified further.
It is the greatest book I've read in a long, long time and I just think it's interesting that I am reading on this topic of physics as the planets cluster and move forward through the constellation and sign of the beautiful earth, Taurus.
Because I am formerly an artist, currently an art photographer, the dynamics of the physical world offer an interesting foundation to the what the materials I deal with in the work that I do. The manipulation of light and the nature of light are discussed.
If you have any interest in the present day as well as past leading edge thinkers, their lives and times and contributions to the current and future trends in theoretical physics that are at the elemental base of our world and universe, Dr. Kaku's books will thrill you. I look foward to reading every one I can get my hands on even though, it's hectic these days with little time for "pleasure" reading, pleasure reading it will be.
Dr Kaku's radio broadcasts are extremely cool and I have enjoyed the fascinating topics he covers but nothing was going to prepare me for reading one of his books! It's astonishing that he has packed so many concepts into this book and in such a way that the conepts can be grasped. It's even filled with a certain amount of insider historical gossip that was really surprising and unexpected to learn of in the middle of the night!

Partial Eclipse of the Sun Today, June 1st & Total Lunar Eclipse of the Moon in Sagittarius on June 15th
As the world turns, we are having a partial eclipse of the sun in Gemini today, June 1st. A more exciting event perhaps will be the mid month, June 15th total eclipse of the moon in Sagittarius. For those with Sagittarius planets at birth or rising sign, perhaps an eventful day for you is coming up.
I like to keep a low profile during the eclipses but that's not always possible. It's basically that the events although they happen several times yearly, eclipses are unusual occurrences where the dynamics of the earth, sun and moon shift around differently and "there will be shadows," as they say.

Long Term Uranus in Aries Transit Underway
Uranus in Aries is a major transit and it is also major playing in the lives of those people born with planets in one or two of the other fire signs, namely, Leo and Sagittarius. Thoughts on the Recent Aries Stellium, the Iliad, War and the Feminine Principle
While listening to radio a few days ago, the answer to the question I posted and pondered in my last post, having to do with just what does Venus, influence of love and beauty have to do with the planetary stellium or cluster of planets in Aries, the primary sign of war? But then, a radio program I listened to while working online had some distinguished actor or another whose name was not familiar, reading from the classic Epic, The Iliad. The reading was the part in which the character Hector is killed.
The graphic reading grew more and more intense and disturbing and as I worked I listened. Introduced into the description of what would be the spearing and brutal death of this character, Hector - a female, the goddess, Aphrodite handled the spear that would later kill Hector.
Listening to the dramatic excerpt from Homer's epic Iliad and keeping in mind that the text is ancient (written 8th century B.C.), there she was, Aphrodite. Aphrodite, to the side of a battle to the death between two males heroes and facilitating the drama by handling the very weapon that was used to kill Hector.
But there it was, a female - Aphrodite, Greek goddess (Roman Venus) of love and beauty, there on the battle scene and participating. The Iliad suggests clearly that woman and this specific goddess whose main reason to be, if you will, was the embodiment of pleasure, she too was not exempt from the violence of the battle. Nevertheless, even here the indication is that women too must by necessity partake in the violence and brutality in one context or another in war and this from an ancient poem.
As I worked on my creative project, the description of the scene and inevitable death of the heroe, Hector, became more and more intense until he was speared to death and, a vivid trophy chariot ride was described with the dead and once beautiful warrior tied to and dragging behind it was the end of the reading. His wife waiting for him to return is unaware but then comes to know of what has happened. She collapses in grief.
I cried. The reading was so intense and so unexpected was the drama I listened to that I cried. I think it was in a way a part of my completing the curriculum my teacher had said to me and the rest of the class.
As a young person, I avoided the Western classics such as the Iliad although, I knew they were about war and the brutality of war. I wondered from a distance the same thing all these years. Why war? Why the continual focus on war? In the ancient books, the Iliad, the Odyssey and the Bhagavad-Gita, there seemed to be no end to the epic and ancient stores of war, centered on war and war unending. I suppose I have my answer in part in hearing this reading of the Iliad which I had avoided by time and circumstance. It was required of me to have a better knowledge of it for the reason which seems more obvious to me know. I think part of that necessity has to do with my understanding of the feminine principle in the context of male violence, in this case, vis-a-vis the ancient poem, the Iliad.
I am reminded too of the comment my Tai Chi teacher long ago told the class and that was that we would have to, "complete the curriculum." For me, a part of having to complete the curriculum is in part gaining an understanding the role of the feminine principle in the context of war and what better time than now with so many of the planets (recently) clustered in Aries the sign of war?
The feminine principle is aligned with the symbolism of justice and in fact, justice is a blindfolded female who holds the sword and holds the scales, reminiscent of the scales of justice seen too in astrological symbolism.
The sun sign Libra, is a creative sign of beauty and personal love but; the opposite side of Libra is the judgemental component of law and the determination of right and wrong.
Man's laws, justice and the other side of the creative, beautiful sign of the woman as well as astrological sign, Libra. In these considerations I can see in part the place that the feminine principal plays in war and justice. It is an unusual configuration in that it would seem on the surface of things that the two would not be related, beauty/love and justice/law but they certainly are.

Venus in Aries in a Time of War
Planet Venus in the constellation Aries is not in a comfortable place but one in which she has to travel like it or not at least once every year and that time is now.
Venus along with a cluster of other planets are in Aries this spring as is often the case this time of year only the stellium or cluster is with some of the heavy hitters. The big boys, Uranus, Mars and Jupiter are in Aries with Venus, the feminine principle of love and beauty and what a position to be in with war swirling around everywhere.
Aries is in a detrimental and not comfortable place for Venus but, there it is. She has to, we lovers and artists among us have to submit to perhaps even sustained attention to the wars that swirl in our times globally in the Middle East and in Africa and elsewhere. The time and indeed trends require that we do so.
I am an artist and find that I have been listening to programs that have to do with war, the cause and effects, the history of these wars and insurgencies, revolutions and the necessity to support rebels. All of this reminds me of that slim and magnificent book I read as a young woman, interested at that time in answers to fundamental questions about the who, what, where and why are we here for? I had read any number of books on Eastern and Western philosophy to try and find some answers to read what the ancients had said, to find answers too many of my questions. I did not find answers. I found discussion and information and historical meanings and by the way quite a bit of misogyny in the European philosopher who didn’t seem to care to give women very much credit but that's the topic for another discussion at a later time perhaps.
Venus is currently required to spend time investigating the old boys' game: War. War with a capital W and war with an s at the end as in the plurality of war: Libya, Iran, Yemen and elsewhere in the Middle East and Africa.
But that slim philosophical text I read so many years ago, The Gita, I still have the original copy I read from when I was twenty years ago. The cover had to be taped on but, I still have it in my possession and I treasure it. The Bhagavad-Gita. The book that puzzled me then but that I have a broader understanding of now so many, many years later because, in the Gita, war is underway and there is discussion that takes place between friends. Questions are asked one to the other about fear and the reservation one friend has to participate in war.
As a young woman I wondered why this ancient story (which is also a part of the Mahabharata, classic Indian text) had to be so situated during a time of war and rivalry. Why war again and again? Why war as in the Iliad and the Odyssey (Classics which I had not read on the other hand)? Why always war? It bothered me but of course since that time and in my lifetime I have lived through the reality of multiple wars that have taken place and as it is; I was born just after the end of World War. Another time, another war, war and the incessant endless wars of humankind.
The longer I live the more I understand why war and why it is a constant backdrop to our lives whether we have lived in the time of the ancients when the Iliad and Odyssey and Bhagavad-Gita were written or during the time of strife that is global at the start of a new millennium. A new cycle of a hundred years. A new cycle of a thousand years and more and more war globally.
I understand and as an adult must accept the permanence of war in our lives now more than ever without having studied war, I find myself immersed in hearing of it and reading it and wondering anew but understanding at the same time that it is a pervasive animosity that is natural to humankind that is just not going away any time soon. It has to be endured and hopefully survived although it causes the ruination to so many countless others worldwide, we have to hope and pray that we will not be directly affected by the long arm of war.
Yes, we carry the burden of war to be certain and no one comes out alive in a very real sense, we bear the burden of it no matter what time and place of birth. We are born into it or recently after it and it reoccurs throughout our lives if not here then there, elsewhere in the world where our males will go to fight or send drones or whatever else are the weapons of the day. We are all subject to it, male or female and our humanity is compromised because, peace is not yet with us but, we know this. Don't we?
The two friends, male characters in the Bhagavad-Gita, friends who discover that they must drop the fear, drop the reluctance, reveal themselves to each other and it was astonishing to me as a young woman to find that one of the friends was an immortal, the Lord Krishna who has returned to mortal form. It is a God and not really a regular man who is the friend to Arjuna in The Gita. A God who reveals himself to his friend and who requires that his friend participate in the war that is underway.
I have just Googled a synopsis of the Gita. The revelation in the book of Lord Krishna to his friend Arjuna is a very beautiful one and the instruction Lord Krishna gives is that his friend should not fear battle and that he must in fact fight. He will reach salvation in his worship and strict devotion to Lord Krishna and he will be victorious in battle. For my part, I still do not understand how it would be that battle and killing and war could be reconciled but, the Gita is an ancient book of wisdom and part of a larger text. In the final analysis, the underpinning is spiritual and point the way to the salvation of the individual through devotion to God, no matter the difficulty of life on earth.
I recommend the Bhagavad-Gita to everyone and I realize that again, as the years go by and I am fortunate to have matured to the extent that I have, wars persist. They spring up anew with new technology to fight the opposition with and with new lives to be lost. It is a ritual. It is a rite of passage. It will require an evolution of humanity or some future cataclysm or Rapture for that matter perhaps that will finally put war on the back burner. Until that time, even Venus will have to listen, learn, discuss and grapple with war as this Venusians daughter is doing these days while Venus is in the sign of war and as wars rage on across the globe.

Happy Easter Aries Stellium Continues
We have the wonderful Aries stellium (conjunction of planets) underway. Planet Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus together in the constellation of Aries, that's some lineup!
Yes, Aries is the primary sign of war and associated with the ram that competes head on for territory and mates. As we all know, strife never sleeps in this world of ours but there are other indicators that a lineup of planets such as those listed above bring us other than war. But what exactly or even approximately might those indicators be?
It is significant to mention here that the Passover celebration has to do with a ram's horn which is blown at some time perhaps the start of religious observances in the Jewish tradition. Why exactly a ram's horn will require a little research I will do in an upcoming post. More on that later but, what about the "benefics" in Aries?
The benefics, those planets that have been traditionally associated with the appearance, arrival and bestowal of good fortune or fortunate trends, Venus and Jupiter specifically. The other planets in Aries now, Mars and Uranus are called and referred to as "malefics." Male stars that have a destructive influence or the potential is greater for destructive or malevolent occurrences are associated with these planets.
Mars in Aries is the warlord in action and don't we see that today and for some time now with the latest wars? It's out of an astrology textbook from that point of view but, what of the benefics? What of Venus and Jupiter that bring the lesser and the greater fortune? Where do they figure in this conjunction in Aries?
We have Mercury going direct today after about three weeks but, Mercury as a neutral (perhaps in terms of being mid way between benevolence/goodness and malevolence/the opposite of goodness. Mercury goes whichever way the wind blows in most instances and can be admired for the flexibility it brings in whichever sign it occupies).
If Mars in Aries is the war lord on his throne and in battle, what the heck is Venus doing in the mixture? What role and or place does the love principle have to do with war and activities of war?
It is by necessity that the planets move in their course and changes take place in influences going forward and those that can be traced backwards. Necessity is similar to the necessity for everthing in the universe, I suppose.
Necessity, eventuality, inevitability, the random or seemingly random chaos changes that have always been and will always be in play in the universe allow for no exception with any of the planets.
It is the interpretation and analysis of the cominations (or conjunctions of planets) and their relationship to each other that make astrology a fascinating and highly interesting hobby and or field of study.
Yes, Aries is the primary sign of war and associated with the ram that competes head on for territory and mates. As we all know, strife never sleeps in this world of ours but there are other indicators that a lineup of planets such as those listed above bring us other than war. But what exactly or even approximately might those indicators be?
It is significant to mention here that the Passover celebration has to do with a ram's horn which is blown at some time perhaps the start of religious observances in the Jewish tradition. Why exactly a ram's horn will require a little research I will do in an upcoming post. More on that later but, what about the "benefics" in Aries?
The benefics, those planets that have been traditionally associated with the appearance, arrival and bestowal of good fortune or fortunate trends, Venus and Jupiter specifically. The other planets in Aries now, Mars and Uranus are called and referred to as "malefics." Male stars that have a destructive influence or the potential is greater for destructive or malevolent occurrences are associated with these planets.
Mars in Aries is the warlord in action and don't we see that today and for some time now with the latest wars? It's out of an astrology textbook from that point of view but, what of the benefics? What of Venus and Jupiter that bring the lesser and the greater fortune? Where do they figure in this conjunction in Aries?
We have Mercury going direct today after about three weeks but, Mercury as a neutral (perhaps in terms of being mid way between benevolence/goodness and malevolence/the opposite of goodness. Mercury goes whichever way the wind blows in most instances and can be admired for the flexibility it brings in whichever sign it occupies).

Taurus it is! Happy Birthday, Taurus.
Apologies may be necessary since with the start of the new astrological year in Aries, I jumped from Aries sun sign to Gemini on this blog! How could I? I can't be sure but not thinking clearly could be part of the answer and after all is said and done, we are still under a Mercury retrograde (until Mercury resumes direct movement on April 23rd) in Aries and that by itself makes for fuzzy thinking.
We have it on now with the sun in Taurus so happy birthday to you, Taurus!
Taurus, the perhaps most beautiful time of the year when our green world is new again with flowers and birds and all critters seemingly rejoicing. Winter over for certain and beautiful sun in Taurus is underway yes, but, we should enjoy as much as possible this intermediate and temperate time before summer arrives.
Oh, if I ever have to come back, I hope I can be on earth again only this time, Taurean. You know what they say and I think those in the know are right, Taurus represents and presents the best of everything. Everything beautiful, expensive, sensual, artistic, rich and long lived exists under that first of the earth signs.
I know they say that Scorpio people are the best lovers in the world, not so. I think Taureans deserve those credits but, although they are top notch, I rarely encounter them for some reason. I don't see anything negative about them except for what others say is their main fault which would be the stubbornness. But when you think of it, what man doesn't have a stubborn streak in him no matter the sun sign? If that's all there is to the "dark" side of Taurus, that's not much to speak of and the temperment issue is one that can easily be gotten around. Taureans are slow to anger so if you're really not cruising for a bruising, you will have nothing to worry about dealing with them.
Perspective is everything of course and there are qualifiers to what I am saying here including the constellation of other aspects or relationships that Taurus has going for him or her. Certain signs are inharmonious with Taurus so if the particular Taurean has for example, sun in Taurus and moon in Aquarius, there will be some difficulties and or inner conflicts that may or may not be difficult for the person to be aware of or pinpoint in order to correct or improve upon. The personality will be conflicted. I have seen examples of this particular configuration but it's enough to say, it is not a harmonious one.
Another not nice configuration would be Taurus with a moon in Leo, however, I have to qualify that because our current President Obama is the flip of that, a Leo with the moon when he was born (wherever he was born) in the sign of Taurus!
The bull and the lion, both bestial signs represent animal nature and power which is some kind of a combination to have.
Allowances may need to be made for those with this combination to a certain extent because, a primary aspect of the personality is a hard driving controling personality, in charge and dominant. The Joy of Gemini, the Twins
When I consider the somewhat unusual eventuality of twin births, I am reminded of the astrological sign, Gemini. I have the suspicion that Geminians are born in families with twins and also families that otherwise but for factors we cannot know about, i.e. the unknown, otherwise they would have been born twins or multiples. Of course this is all speculation and there is no way to get at quantitative proof but, I know from my own experience of a natal (birth) Gemini moon that there is more to me and more to Gemini than meets the eye.
I have heard people say, "They're two faced." Geminians aren't two faced generally speaking in terms of treachery but there may very well be more than one face, one internal and one external. The inner Geminian, could be the good twin or as I say sometimes, "the evil twin." If the Geminian in question is friendly and easy going and you just love them, you can be sure the twin on the inside is doubling as the tough guy or gal or the one that runs the show, like the Wizard of Oz, from behind the scenes. He or she may in fact be the "evil" twin but in a tough love kind of way.
Geminians can often be found in families that do have actual twin births and other double correspondences, those who are born on the 11th day or 11th month and usually they are aware of these correspondences. My neighbor is Gemini and he's born on his father's birthday, talk about chip off the old block!
Another observation I have made in my analysis of Geminians is that they are true party people and have been the joy of their parents lives from early on. They have entertained and will continue to entertain in some form or fashion their entire lives and they have as a rule lively social lives.
I find Gemini people to be far more sociable than Aquarians or Librans for that matter. They are usually going somewhere (fast) or coming back from some travel and have stories to tell galore. They are my favorite type of people generally speaking and I find that I understand their duality because I am familiar with my own duality to a large degree and play it for what it's worth. And it is worthwhile to have two for the price of one personalities or entities or whatever you choose to call it. They get more done and can do multiple things at the same time. They are master multi taskers and are difficult to compete with in this arena.
If one says, "dual identity, it gives the impression of split personality, of other psychological issues, the issues are in a way psychological but not pathological and there's where the difference is unless of course, the Geminian has mental weaknesses that have evolved badly into pathology, he or she is a rare gift to friends, family and society.
They get more done than many other astrological types and satisfy so many with their products and the result of their strong innate happiness.

Sun Sign Full Moon Opposition

These vehicles have augmented recent revolutions in the Middle East and serve as a platform for the development of industries such as publishing and advertising all of which will fall to the youth who operate in cyberspace overwhelmingly.

Currently: Planet Mars is in the constellation Aires & Planet Neptune in the Constellation Pisces
The alpha omega effect is currently underway in a highly interesting way. We now have our close neighbor, the planet Mars in the the sign of its rulership, which is the primary martial or war sign, Aries (the ram). At the same time, distant, nebulous planet Neptune is in the earliest degree of the sign of its rulership, Pisces (the feet), the last sign of our Zodiac.
Much is going on in the mental and war sectors of life as the focus brought on by the stellium (or cluster of planets in Aries now) which is oriented toward war, fire and explosions. We are undergoing at this time of of wars on the global level the revolutions that are taking place across the Middle East and Africa. We also have to add to the mix, the influence of Uranus, significator of rebellion and more specifically, revolution as it resides in the early degree of Aries as well.
The year of 2011 has had many unusual starts to it and we can expect that as the year continues, we will all be in for more highly unusual events and disclosures will take place.
We are basically just starting to experience the trends that the large planets, Uranus and Neptune are bringing about.
Unfortunately the tsunami in Japan has everything to do with these two planets, Uranus and Neptune as they have shifted the confines of the positions they have held for years and have moved forward.
The event of Neptune in Pisces is particularly treacherous because the potential of the element of water and specifically the oceans trend now and for many years going forward indicate more incidents of dramatic shifts in water levels and possibly if not probably additional tsunamis.
I heard a broadcast recently where it was mentioned that New York City also has a fault line and that earthquakes here would occur, due to the low water level of the city. A tsunami in the near future could or likely would put the city under water and that in fact, this could happen anywhere in the next fifty years. To offset this, there is going to be a type of barrier or dam like structure to prevent the type of catastrophe that destroyed so much of Japan in recent times.
Island nation citizens know the dangers of what they might suffer. It would be wise and prudent although a sad and difficult decision to make going forward to emigrate to countries above sea level but it should be considered. Island nation groups of people will have to choose to leave their land behind and live or suffer the consequences of what will be higher water levels across the globe in the next generation.
Ten to twenty years time will see major changes in the the landscape of many islands due in part to the Neptune in Pisces transit which will last for 13 years, after February 2, 2012 when Neptune will re-enter Pisces for the long transit which follows a brief return to Uranus. These details are not brought up to be confusing but to state information that outlines the time period of this eventful transit of Neptune in Pisces.
Oil sourcing in water regions of the world will become more widespread and in the United States as well. Many activities, industry and eventualities for the better and for the worse will take place in relation to the oceans of the world.
The focus will be with oceans, marine life, the effects of oil drilling will be more and more underway and in the news and the degree of industry to extract oil and other resources from the sea will be underway full swing and due in large part by necessity.

Innovations and advancements that benefit humanity will be a popping! Technology will also bring forward advancements that will make it even more affordable to own and operate more advanced electronics and other gadgets that human beings can benefit from.
We are in for a wild and yes, radical ride though the next ten to twenty years but one thing is for certain, humanity will learn and grow and communities, at the global level as well as the local level will see a strengthened compassion for what our daily realities are. The new landscape for the many countless people who find themselves, ourselves, in these difficult times of mass undemployment and the inevitable losses that is bringing.
The contemporary human condition will find us all more compassionate and supportive, although that will be easier said than done for many who will react to the real threats to livlihood and survival as we have know it which has changed and will continue to change going forward.
The bravest, strongest and most compassionate of us will thrive and help others going forward at this time. It is our privilege and our strength and calling as evolving and loving human beings to make the necessary sacrifices in our own lives and help those we can along the way to do the same, in whatever way in which we can do this. It is a wonderful challenge and many if not all will rise to the occasion.

The Rapture is Rapidly Approaching,
I came across information that May 2st would bring with it some important astrological occurence but what exactly would that be? I must have overheard it in passing because I was unsure until I did a little research and apparently, the Christian, Rapture, will take place on that date. I am not a student of the Bible and don't know that much about The Rapture except that it seems to be the day of Salvation for Christians, the end of days and time as we know it from what I can see.
I am not sure what to make of it. There is a huge symbolism and numerology component to this rapidly approaching day and I am not sure I will have the time to get up to speed with the inevitability factor here but, I wanted to post this for your consideration.

Stellium in the Heavens
A stellium is underway now. The stellium or cluster of several planets as well as our sun and moon are all in the fire sign of Aries. The planets involved are Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus and Mars and along with them for the ride are the two luminaries of "lights" of our solar system, the sun and moon. That is a big deal, Aries is the sign of war and as it is, war is underway in several parts of the world.
The best that comes to mind about war during this time is that there may or may not be principles behind certain wars and there may be intelligence applied to at least some of the wars with Uranus and Jupiter involved.
Mars in Aries is a strength in terms of being alive and extremely active in the sign of it's rulership and strength, Aries.

Take Away on the Super Big Beautiful Moon
So as the saying goes, what's the take away with the rare lunar eclipse of the full "blue moon" at the first day of winter 2010 and the very recent rare, full "super" moon at the very start of springtime? Winter and spring seasons both have unusual beginnings in a year that has already started off with unusual occurrences some of which have been extremely destructive.
(In future entries to this blog, this week or next, I will discuss what may be the positive ramifications of astrology trends going forward.)
The second full moon in the month of December 2010 and, the "super" full moon is extraordinarily luminous and appears larger due to its proximity to earth.
The occurrence of both rare events so close in time may bring with it geologic changes as some have suggested and or predicted but that remains to be seen.
We can stand in awe of nature and the physical world we live in considering the literal context of such rare lunar occurrences and looking to the heavens at the Bella Luna of our world.

Super Full Moon & December's New Moon Lunar Eclipse
The second full month of the month (blue moon) on December 21, 2010 gave us the first winter total eclipse in 456 years. There were unusal features to the December 2010 lunar eclipse, not only was it rare but apparently the eclipse had the sun and moon in opposition to each other with the earth intercepting and all of this with the luminaries pointing almost exactly toward our "galactic center."
I have read that NASA has found a giant black hole at the center of our solar system or galactic center . With our sun and moon and earth in alignment with that black hole, we have seen unusual events on heaven and on earth.
We have experienced also according to NASA an increase in the activity of our sun with an activation of strong solar flares and subsequent solar wind throughout the galaxy in the past six month.
Loss of wildlife, birds, fish, mammals in large numbers across the globe, there may or not be a direct connection but there is at any rate the circumstance or incidence of these things happening close in time.
Now at the beginning of our new year, 2011 we have the unusual, full "super moon." The full moon more brilliant and visibly larger due to its closest proximity to earth also a somewhat rare event associated with earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. Very exciting, the idea of all this in an abstract kind of way but, do we earth critters need any more excitement in relation to these earthly activities? The answer is "No", plain and simple, no thank you.
It is significant that these two, the total lunar eclipse and the full super moon (close proximity to earth), the black moon and the brightest, largest white moon manifesting within six months of each other.
We have already had the quake in Japan and subsequent tsunami that has rippled its way across the globe destroying life and property as it went. We humans are in the wait and see period whether we know it or not of what the side effects of the super full moon occurrence will bring.

Hard to believe the winter flew by the way it did but it did and here it is, a new season. The sun has gone omega > alpha, completing a full circle around the twelve constellations of the zodiac to find the way to the sign of the first twelve signs, Aires.
The sun joins Jupiter and Uranus that are both situated in the early degrees of Aires. The combination of our primary luminary, the sun and two of earth's largest planets will make for a warm hearted and happy go lucky month ahead but certainly not without surprises some of which can be very upsetting on the level of personal life and or the global world at large.
The times are right and righteous for freedom.
We have a fair amount of egalitarianism with Jupiter in Aries along with the sun now. The Middle East is going for their humanity, freedom and what better time than now?
It is an out of the astrology textbook that these revolutions in the Middle East are taking place now with Uranus also in Aries, the sign of war. Had it been otherwise, the necessity and subsequent intervention of other countries in support of the Libyan people by the United Nations and international military assistance might not have taken place.

2011: More Unusual Events Are in Store for Us at Home and Globally
Yes, we are living in interesting time. First the end of the year 2010 full moon eclipse in Gemini that brought on serious issues for the global community this year, 2011 part of that trend going forward are the sad events that have taken place in Japan. With the so called, "super full moon" approaching rapidly now, this Saturday, March 19th in the sign of Virgo, we may or may not be in for more severe and destructive climate changes and activity, hopefully not in Japan.
The remainder of this year will be very unusual in many ways we'll continue to see mysterious occurences similar to the earthquake and loss of wildlife and marine life. In part due to the trends that are in effect now and movements of the two large planets, Uranus and Jupiter. Anything could go off this year and probably will, hopefully some of it will be miraculous, helpful and healing and that may very well be the case. It's not a question of wait and see so much as it may be one of what we can do to offset come what may.

Super Full Moon (in Virgo) This Weekend, March 19, 2011
Super full moon weekend is approaching, a time when from what I sourced off the web, a time where the potential for earthquakes, tsunamis or exaggerated high tides and other, volcanic activity can be expected. Apparently, the recent events of tsunami activity associated with earthquakes in India and flooding in Australia, even the United States Katrina flooding event are all associated with super full moons of the past. The exact information can be found online. I have a very small readership at this time however, I am mentioning this in light of the Japan tragedy that is still unfolding. Our prayers should be with Japan and the Japanese people. They need our help and it is more than monetary help that is needed. Japan needs our loving prayers.

Uranus Entered Aires the Day of the Earthquake in Japan
The world got to witness the horror of the unexpected global disturbance, the earthquake in Japan on the very same day that planet Uranus left the sign of Pisces where it has resided for several years and formally entered the earliest degree of Aires. In other words, Uranus, planet of the unpredictable and sudden changes shifted from the water sign of Pisces and entered the fire sign of Aires going omega-alpha. Since it has began a cycle of completion it coincides with the earthquake and subsequent tsunami. I believe any astrologer could have predicted something like this happening and although most people will not see the correlation there is a very strong one. The world is probably going to be due for many such unusual and sadly destructive changes in the years to come and as we approach 2012, the possibilities only get more frightening. Partly man made and partly due to the circumstances of the times, we human critters are going to be in for more difficulties going forward, it is a part of the times we live but all hope is not lost. It would probably not be possible but for the Japanese to leave their beloved homeland behind and look to other lands to live their lives might be a wise consideration. God bless those who suffered loss of life and their families who will never be the same again. It is a very sad and disturbing time now for the world and our prayers and sympathy, each one of good will sends love and prayer to the country of Japan and to all who have suffered losses there at this time of sorrow.

Gemini Full Moon Eclipse
Geminians are under the protracted cause and effect of the full moon in Gemini lunar eclipse that took place in December 21, 2010. The first day of winter and an unusual eclipse that has not taken place in a very long time. Apparently the sun and moon in opposition to each other were at that time very close to the "galactic center." The galactic center apparently has a large black hole according to some information I came across and I believe that's NASA info. With our sun and moon in opposition pointing almost exactly toward this black hole area, the indicators were severe and not entirely pleasant.
Many of my Gemini friends have suffered losses including the loss of beloved family members. The eclipse so close to the beginning of our new year which is also a '11 or twin year in that double, numeric sense is another reflection of the dual sign of Gemini.
These mentions are to just briefly to say here that if you, the reader are Gemini, it may be the case that you too will experience some sense of loss that may or may not be serious this year.
It is a time perhaps to best keep a low profile although, there are very exciting events that are in store for us all actually, Gemini people should consider that forces that are at play may precipitate a time of loss that may be uncomfortable if not severe.
Keep a steady focus come what may and I will write more on this soon.

Age of Aquarius, Uranus in Aries & Neptune in Pisces
A warm hello in blue to visitors here on this astrology blogspot. Major trends are always underway but it must be said that the times we are living in are unusual and exciting like we haven't seen in a long, long time if ever on the plus side as well as the negative side.
Revolutions around the world and a global collapse of economies. What else is in store for us as far as trends go? We can discuss the possibilities and gain insight into what may in store for us by analysing trends as they are emerge.
Major trends at this time include the soon to be in effect of Uranus going omega alpha, that is Uranus will go from the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, where it has been for years to the first sign of the zodiac, or alpha, which is Aries, the Ram.
Uranus enters Aries on March 12, 2011 through the year 2019. From the last sign of the feet to the first sign of the head, innovative and unpredictable Uranus completes a long orbit around the zodiac. The omega-alpha.
Since Uranus' orbit is a long one it has been a very long period of time since it situated in Aries, the primary war sign but more on that later.
The secondary transit of great interest to us will be the Uranus in Pisces transit. It has tremendous significance because Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and will be like a king sitting on his own throne after a long, hundred year plus journey around the zodiac in this case. Returning home to the sign that it "rules" (Pisces) for a period before the cycle begins again at which time it starts movement through the zodiac in Aries again.
Neptune will stay in Pisces from April 4, 2011 until August 4, 2011 and then goes backward into Aquarius until February 3, 2012 where it will begin its transit or travels through the sign of Pisces until 2025. We are in for it in terms of the oceans and what this time period suggests but, more on that later too.
I am just preparing the discussion now for a deeper analysis of this major movement of two of the most powerful planets in our solar system into new areas of the zodiac and in our lives.
The Neptune in Pisces discussion will be featured in the next day or two so please visit for that introduction.

It's just background information for a further, later discussion on the effects that could emerge from this significant and powerful transit and movement of these two planets, Uranus and Neptune as they leave one sign and enter the earliest degrees of the neighboring signs of Aries and Pisces. We are at the end of one millennium and the beginning of another and another century in the millennium as well. We are living is very exciting and yes, revolutionary times.
